I decided to experiment with spot varnishes using black foil to create the effect. I have only chosen to highlight the title of the book as this is the most important feature and would make it more eyecatching on the the book store shelf. It also gives the book series a more higher end finish as alot of book design has a spot varnish or special finishing somewhere on the books cover.
