Full Color Books

Here I'm using a coloured paper stock for each of the book covers, I think they work really well as a set when using such bold colours.

Prints back from the printers.

I received all the branding I did for the Fairfax Singers back from the printers today. I think they've come out quite well and the paper stock we chose really gives its a quality feel. Just need to take some better photos....

Event Poster.

And the poster design above is the one they went for.

And the letterheads....

This is a simple layout for the A4 letterhead with no address, only the logo and website at the bottom of the page. They also wanted A5 notelets as well with the same layout as above.

The client wanted to be able to print an address on themselves instead of having one address on the final layout.

Business Cards.

This is the design the client wanted keeping the main focus on the logo and just telephone/email and name of the singer on the card. With the website at the bottom of each card.

Each business card will be printed on a laminated bright white paper stock.

here is the final set of posters, i still think a couple of them need a re-jig but as a set i think they work keeping things nice and simple.

Hadfield Printers.

Today I went with one of the Fairfax Singers to visit a local printers to help discuss with the printer what we wanted. The main reason I wanted to go was to check with the printer that I was giving him the correct file formats to print.

We've chosen a laminated paper stock for the one sided business cards and for the letter heads a 200gsm bright white paper.

So the visit went really well and all the stationary is set to be printed on 27th April so I need to have all the files sorted for the 25th April.

I've also been asked to design a quick poster for their event coming up in June as well so I best get cracking with that asap in time for the printer!!!

With this poster I wanted to keep it quite basic and possibly introducing a two colour print.Think is still needs abit of work maybe.

Sinking Ships Layouts

Here I think the bottom left works best out of the whole set and I decided that all the posters are to be one colour.

Final logo decision.

This the final logo the Fairfax Singers have chosen to use as their logo. I'm pretty happy with their overall choice and I think it will work well on the stationary too.

Final Bookmarks.

As said in the crit my original bookmarks were a bit over crowded with the imagery from the book cover, quotes and the title of the book. So I've simplified it down a bit by just having the image from the front cover of the book and the puffin book logo at the bottom. The back of the bookmarks will also be full colour (also suggested in the crit) so that it matches with the book and would also appeal the younger audience.

Just trying out a simpler layout so that the bookmark isn't too over crowded with both text and image.

More presentation boards for the fairfax singers.

These are the next set of presentation boards that I created for the Fairfax Singers, which are experimenting with the layout of the whole logo and adding the taglines that they came up with. From this I felt some worked and some didn't but I included all of my development on the boards for them to have a look at.

Above is the second board with a new idea they came up with that they wanted me to develop. I don't feel that this is as strong as some of the others but they felt that the logo should have more of a musical theme.

Testing Stocks.

Here I've re-printed the book covers on to different stocks using antique and a cream paper. The antique stock has quite a nice texture but ages the designs too much as does the cream colour.
